What small speakers should I buy to add sound to TV?

Just bought a 50" plasma over the weekend. Very good picture but poor sound. I just want to add a little something to help the sound. Something real inexpensive and small enough that I can hide on my entertainment center. Don't need a home theater system, not going to sell movie tickets at my house, just want a slightly better output on sound. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You should not have poor sound with a 50" plasma tv. This is a brands top of the line television. XBOX 360 placement?

I had put my 360 inside a glass cabinet on my television stand. there is a swingging glass door (some but not alot of airflow) there is also a hole in the back of this to put cables through it is about 1 inch in diameter. the top of the console is about an inch from the top of the shelf (it is laying on the longer side). Yes, it is a pretty confined space. However, i do have an intercooler. To test out this new space I left the console on for about 30 min. I stuck my hand in and the space and it felt hot. However, I am not sure if it is just the intercooler blowing out the hot air.
Should I continue to keep my XBOX in this space???

I wouldn't suggest it...
I had that same question, and it turned out that I shouldn't have kept it there. It will get the red ring of death soon if you keep it there, like how mine did, and so, it is suggested that you move it to a place that air can flow around it easily....

I love this style. Which is why so much of my furniture came from thrift and secondhand stores. I bought what was made in the style I wanted, then brought it home and refinished it. Some of it had to be completely reworked, as in joints tightened, glass replaced, etc., sometimes all I had to do was slap a coat of offwhite paint on it, distress it, and varnish it. This was the only way I could find exactly what I wanted. another plus is that most of my furniture is solid wood and very well-made. No pressboard!
