we bought a cheap white one, eschewing the $50 one with rainbow-colored blades, and figured we could paint the blades ourselves.
Remove the blades from the fan. Get a sealer called "Kilz". Put one coat of sealer to seal the existing colors. Then purchase a "good" quality spray paint,,,,,the color of your choice. Paint the blades with two coats of the paint. Make sure the paint is "dry" and set before reattaching to the fan. That should work.
