i have a burgundy leather sofa in the living roo light wood wall &cream is formal burgundy valnce&beinge good?

the burgundy leather form as a corner..the whole wall is made from light wood and have frames offwhite paint ..i brought formal burgundy tafta valance and a matching beige organza panels with a big tieback contains burgundy and beige with some pearl is it ok to put formal curtains with leather and to have burgundy and beige with light wood wall and offwhite?

id repaint the off white to beige and soften the couch with some matching pillows. other then that it sounds good.

Wall Sconce for All the Right Reasons

As you enter the room you have a feeling of warmth and serenity that fills your mind with thoughts of tranquility. You have entered your comfort zone. Here is the place you have created from the elaborate thoughts of your mind's eye. This is the place you return to at the end of the day to relax and cast away your thoughts, worries and stresses of your normal daily routine. As you retreat to your favorite room, the gentle glow of the wall sconce lighting puts you at peace with the world. Does this sound like you or are you missing the one element in the room that makes this all possible?

There is no excuse to have an empty wall anywhere in your house. There are so many ways to decorate and add your personality to shine and light up with style.

All lighting inside a building that is not exposed to outside weather conditions is known as interior lighting. Wall sconces are fixtures that have only one light. They should be functional and support the overall design of the room.

The atmosphere created by its color and design will illuminate the room. Wall sconce lighting is capable of providing a warm mood or lightens the room enough to read a book comfortably. It fits in wherever space is needed and provides that decorative touch that we all desire.

It will even make your room larger than it is. It also can highlight other pieces of art work that you have on your walls or that main attraction such as your fire place. This will also direct the eyes to the spot you want yourself and others to notice.

You can easily mount the sconces to your wall with little or no installation needed. For the electrical sconces there is some installation needed, but with these you can easily save on energy with a dimmer switch. You can also have Candle Wall Sconces in any size, color or scent that you wish.

Dating back to early America, the candle holder wall sconce was the sole way of lighting a room. Now it is used for every room of the house as well as outside the house. One of my friends actually has a water system that the candles float in and lights up their patio.

To create brighter surrounding try using votive or taper wall sconces. For a soft romantic mood and feel try tea light candles to set up the atmosphere for the night ahead.

My niece has a couple of toddlers and purchased several of these because they are high enough up on the walls to be child proof. She has told me time and again how much safer she feels using the sconces instead of lamps with all the electrical cords.

There are so many styles to choose from such as Victorian, Colonial, Contemporary and Western. There are also many materials to choose from like copper, metal, wrought iron, glass, ceramic and others.

It doesn't matter what you have set your budget. Inexpensive and expensive styles are all available and you will not be able to tell the difference. Only your wallet will know for sure.

It used to be that hallways and corridors were the only place you would find these in, but not any more. If you want to create a Wow factor with direct or indirect lighting, you can't lose with the Wall Sconce.
