How/when should I install my vanity marble top?

When should I install the top on my vanity? I'm installing a new vanity in my bathroom and was wondering if I should glue the top onto my vanity prior to installing and plumbing it in?

Install the cabinet FIRST, then install the top as described above. Use 100% silicone caulking to "glue" the top in place.
